HOW FAST DOES HAIR GROW?

Did you know that a rope made out of strands of long hair would be strong enough to lift a car? Hair is strong, and it is always growing. The hair on your head can grow about half an inch each month. Hair normally grows faster during the summer than it does during the winter. It also grows faster during the day than it does at night.

Each strand of hair can grow until it reaches a certain length. When it reaches that length, it stops growing. This is because it can no longer receive the nourishment it needs to grow. The strand falls out, and a new hair replaces it. This process can take two to six years for the hair on your head but just three to five months for shorter hair, like eyelashes and eyebrows.
