GESTALT PROCESSING: Like many with autism, Meaghan processes things as a whole or as a gestalt. When she reads, she takes in all the words on a page at once and comprehends all the information almost at a glance. The same all-at-once processing style factors in when she is presented with a written word or words that she has to type. Her gestalt processing makes it difficult for her to know where to begin, hence the red arrows and the prompt "First Letter."
